Buy Solar Water Heater Online in India

Buy Solar Water Heater in India. Buy Solar Water Heater online of top companies like V-Guard, Deshmukh etc.

What is solar water heater?

Solar Water Heater

Solar water heater is a system that utilizes solar energy (or the energy from sunlight) to heat water. It has a system that is installed on a terrace or open space where it can get sunlight and the energy from the sun is then used to heat water and store it in an insulated tank. The system is not connected to electricity supply and thus does not have an on-off switch, but it uses the sunlight throughout the day to heat the water and store it in the storage tank. Water from the storage tank can then be used for any application as desired.
Different types of solar water heaters available in market.

There are 2 types of solar water heaters that are available in Indian market:

1) FPC (Flat Plate Collectors) system: These are metallic type systems and have a longer life.

2) ETC (Evacuated Tube Collectors) system: These systems are made up of glass and are fragile.

Both these type of water heaters come with or without pump. Pump is used to move water from collectors to the storage tank. Those without pump use thermosyphon principle to move water from collectors to storage tank automatically.

How to decide on which type to buy?

ETC systems are fragile but are cheaper. They are also very good for colder regions where the temperature is sub zero. In place where the water is salty, these systems require regular cleaning due to deposition of salt on the inner surface of glass tubes.

FPC systems are long lasting, as they are metallic. But they are expensive than ETC systems. They can work in colder regions with sub zero temperature but will need an anti freeze solution making the system expensive. In places with salty water a heat exchanger is required with FPC system to avoid scale deposition that can impact the heating capability of the system.
They are enough efficient to work nicely in cloudy weather also when their is little sunlight available.

System without pump (thermosyphon) is ideal for domestic and small application users (as it is cheaper) provided water does not have high chlorine content. Those with pumps are good for industries.

Solar Panel, Solar Inverter and Battery Selection for Solar Home System

Solar Panel, Solar Inverter and Battery Selection for Solar Home System

How does solar electric generation work?
Solar panel takes the sun’s energy and solar Inverter converts it into DC battery power to charge your batteries. Solar panel is the battery charger that works anytime the sun is out.
How to calculate your solar system need?
If you are just trying to run lights, Ceiling Fans and TV with solar power, it is not too hard to determine the number of panels and batteries yourself.
Suppose you need solar power system to run 5 CFL lights, 3 Ceiling Fans and one TV.

First, we find out the wattage of each of them.

1 CFL = 25 watts.

1 Ceiling Fan = 70 watts.

1 TV  =  200 watts

(lcd 24 inch =120 watts)

So, the Total Power Required (Load) = (5 x 25 + 3 x 70 + 1 x 200)

= 535 watts

Battery required = ( Total Load x  No. of Hours) / 12V

It gives = 535(watts) x 5(hrs)/12 V = 223ah

Inverter required = Total Load / P.F(power factor)

Average P.F (power factor) = 0.8

So it gives = 535(watts) / 0.8 = 669 VA

As neither inverter is 100% effiecient, so you should go with 700 VA Solar Inverter.

Solar Panels for Residential Rooftops

Solar Panels for Residential Rooftops

A typical Roof Top solar panels PV system also contains a set of batteries and inverter along with the modules of Solar PV cells. The overall efficiency of the system will also depend on the type of battery and inverter used in the system.  It is important to choose the right components for most effective use of Solar PV systems.Generally lead-acid are the best suited for a solar PV system. They last for 5 to 10 years and are 80% efficient (can reclaim 80% of energy stored in it). These batteries are also designed to provide electricity for long periods and can discharge up to 80% of their capacity repeatedly. Automotive batteries that are shallow cycle should not be used.

Electricity Units Generated from a Solar Panel PV Module system

Although we talked about wattage capacity of a solar PV system, but that does not mean that the wattage will be available 24 hours a day and all throughout the year. The units or kWH output of a solar panel will depend on the panel efficiency and availability of sunlight in a location. The factor that defines this output is called CUF (or Capacity Utility Factor). For India, it is typically taken as 19% and the calculation of units goes as:

Units Generated Annually (in Kwh) = System Size in Kw * CUF * 365 * 24

So typically a 1kW capacity solar system will generate 1600-1700 kWH of electricity per year (please note that this is just a thumb rule as the CUF will vary in different cities in India).

Please note that Mono is for Monocrystaline PV cell and Multi is for Multicrystaline (or Polycrystaline) PV cell. The difference between the two is that Monocrystaline is made of single silicon crystal whereas Multicrystaline PV is made up of multiple crystals. A monocrystaline is more efficient in converting solar energy into electricity per sq meter area than a multicrystaline PV. Thus the space required for the same amount of wattage is less in monocrystaline PV panel. Thus it is costlier than a Multicrystaline PV. The choice between the two depends on the area that you have for PV installation. Also the price increases as you decrease the panel wattage. So smaller the panel you buy, costlier it is.

Our Solar Power Journey

Small Power stations

Just read today in a daily news paper that our Prime minister has raised the target for solar electric capacity from 20,000 MW to 100,000 MW by 2022 at a cost of about $100 billion .

My my how times have changed! I remember around 25 yrs back when my parents bought our first solar cooker, it was a big enigma for us.solar_cooker The terrace was cleaned and the cooker placed in the middle under full sunlight. My mom put a small swastik on it. The whole family stood around it and the ladies looked at it as if it was manna from heaven which would end all their cooking woes. The dal chawal cooked in the cooker tasted like prasad and was distributed to all family members and visitors.

Look where we are now! Visit our site and see the products for yourself. Solar lamps, Solar Power Stations, Solar pumps, Solar street lights to name a few. We could never have beleived this was possible and also so easily accessible in our country as well.Thank God the sun shines equally brightly on all countries devoloped, developing or under devoloped.

I firmly beleive that sky is the limit for inventions so far as solar power is concerned.

Indian Solar EPC companies – distributed energy

Indian Solar EPC companies – distributed energy

Indian solar EPC companies can come forward and start the distributed energy phenomena in a big way. There is so much opportunity in our country with abundance of solar energy all over.

So what is a solar EPC? These are engineering procurement & construction contractors / companies who install solar electricity generation systems .

What is distributed energy? Distributed energy is the locally produced energy on your rooftop.

Are you an EPC contractor? Send us you website link we shall post it here. With your permission we can list you as an EPC contractor on ShopOnline.Solar
