Description
Exothermic Weld Powder is a mixture of copper oxide and aluminum packaged by size in a plastic cartridge. Exothermic Weld Powder joints for 17.2mm Rod to Copper strip 25 x6 mm.
Brand=”JMV” Manufacture =”JMV LPS Limited”
How to make a JAM Weld Joint:
Step-1 : The conductors to be joined are placed in the weld cavity and close the mould.
Step-2 : The steel retaining disc is located in the base of the crucible. The weld powder is poured which is followed by the starting powder.
Step-3 : The starting powder is ignited with a spark gun and the resulting exothermic reaction reduces the weld powder to molten copper alloy.
Step-4 : The retaining disc melts and the molten copper alloy flows into the weld cavity. In weld cavity the molten copper alloy partially melts the conductors.
Step-5 : The molten copper alloy gets cooled and forms a fusion weld.
